Neighborhood Resource Centers (NRCs)

The primary focus of Neighborhood Resource Centers (NRCs) is to provide referral services, case management, parent education, and
direct service to the communities of the resource centers.

Target population: Residents of Fresno and nearby communities; Selma, Sanger, Reedley.

Who would benefit from services: Individuals or family units in these areas who need assistance with social, economic and environmental resources and parenting skills.

Qualifying criteria and payment/insurance: Home Visitor Program: caregiver or child must be eligible for or enrolled in CalWorks.

Differential response program is a referral based service for families that have been involved with CPS on some level.

How services are provided: Services are provided through case managers with the families engagement. Case managers work with the family to meet their target goals through connecting them to resources, assisting with needed documents to receive services from other
programs, engaging in parent-child interaction educational curriculum, or working on family skill building. Case managers take an evaluation of family needs and supports to inform families of other needs or resources available to them.

Who provides the services: Services are provided virtually and at the center with a case manager in the program that is the best fit for the family.

Other points of interest: Each NRC has different programs the case managers utilize to serve families. These include the Home Visitation Program, Differential Response Program, and Family Advocacy Case Management. We have a partnership with the Central
California Food Bank and Diaper Bank, are an Affiliate of the Parents as Teachers curriculum, and work closely with Sanger Unified School district at our Sanger center.
