Student Assistance Program (SAP)

Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a school-based counseling service to assist students and families with mental health issues impeding their ability to be successful in school.  The primary focus is to help students learn healthy ways to manage personal or family issues that make everyday life difficult to deal with at times.


Target population: Students (K-12) attending schools that contract with CYS for SAP services.
 

Who would benefit from services: Students struggling with issues making it difficult to be successful at school.
 

Qualifying criteria and payment/insurance: Services are free of charge to students enrolled in contracting schools.
 

How services are provided: Services are provided during school hours which vary based on school site.

Who provides the services: Licensed therapists and associate therapists registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
