There are many agencies in the Central Valley
that can provide free or low-cost help if you or someone you know is
experiencing issues related to child abuse or domestic violence. Please note that the agencies listed here are not associated with Comprehensive
Youth Services. If you know of a site that should be listed here, or believe
that a listed site contains inappropriate material, please
contact us.
Domestic Violence and Child Abuse
- Court Appointed Special Advocates -
CASA: A community-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to
recruit, train, and support citizen volunteers to advocate and speak for the
best interests of abused and neglected children in the child welfare and
Juvenile Court systems.
- Fresno
Council on Child Abuse Prevention - FCCAP: A non-profit, community
based organization dedicated to promoting community efforts in child abuse
prevention, intervention, education, and treatment by serving as a facilitator
for programs related to child abuse and neglect.

Fresno County Children & Family Services - Care Line: Fresno County's
crisis hotline, which operates every day, 24 hours per day. Social work staff
is available to take reports of suspected child abuse and neglect from
mandated reporters as well as the general public.
- Marjaree Mason Center:
A holistic program of shelter and comprehensive supportive services for women
and children victimized by abuse and homelessness in Fresno County.
